Let me know if these wedding planing top tips help! And please follow me for more tips here.
PLAN YOUR COLOUR SCHEME
When it comes to choosing a colour for your wedding, there are no rules. Some people choose a seasonal colour, some look at a colour wheel (e.g opposite cool and warm tones work well together – such as terracotta orange and sky blue).
Or rather than focusing on one or two of your favourite colours, why not opt for a colour family instead. A rainbow of colours complementing the season could be just perfect for your bridesmaids dresses.

MEET UP WITH SUPPLIERS
Do lots of research! Go to wedding fairs, read their websites and google reviews and ask family and friends who’ve used them.
If it’s possible, always try to meet up with potential suppliers beforehand. It’s important you feel comfortable with them as a person, as well as LOVING the style and service they offer.
You’ll spend a lot of your day in the company of your photographer so it’s important that you ‘gel’. If you meet beforehand they can show you some full galleries of other weddings and albums and have a good old natter with you about your plans.

DON’T BE AFRAID TO BREAK TRADITION
A big wedding planning top tip for you, your wedding is YOUR day. So it should be exactly as YOU want it to be. If there are wedding traditions you like, great! But if you want to do things differently that’s also ok. Maybe you don’t want to wear a traditional wedding dress, or would prefer a cheeseboard instead of a cake. Or you don’t like the idea of confetti getting in your hair and would prefer bubbles instead. Breaking with tradition can be a great way of putting your own stamp on things.

ARE YOU A PARENT? GET THE KIDS INVOLVED!
If you’re a parent and feeling a bit stressed by the thought of juggling your children on your wedding day, don’t panic!
First of all, make sure you nominate some helpers! Family members and friends can be in charge of nap times and nappy changes so you don’t have to worry about your babies routine. But as it’s your big day, why not get them involved and give them an important role for the day?
Toddlers and younger children could accompany you down the aisle or be a ring bearer. And older kids might love the challenge of doing a reading in your ceremony or giving a speech after dinner.

INCLUDE YOUR PERSONALITIES IN YOUR WEDDING PLANNING
Remember, this day is all about YOU! So why not celebrate in a way that feels personal to you both!
If you love cycling together – why not have a cycling themed cake? If you don’t fancy wearing white, why not consider a vibrant dress or trouser suit that better suits your style?
And if you’re a dog owner, check with your venue if you can bring them along. There are loads of pet-friendly venues around. I love it when the dogs can be included in your photos too – they are family after all!
