HELLO, I’M TES!

I’m a professional London based photographer with over 18 years experience working as a wedding, family and events photographer.

I absolutely adore capturing natural, vibrant and fun school marketing photography that can be used for you to promote your vision and brand.

And I understand how important it is for your school marketing imagery to ‘sing’ across your website and prospectus. It needs to reflect your brand and promote your curriculum subjects, facilities, uniform and staff.

I work with schools, nurseries and colleges across London, Kent and Surrey and would love to work with you too.

If you would like to work with a professional School Photographer for your marketing, prospectus and website, please get in touch.

GALLERY OF SCHOOL MARKETING PHOTOGRAPHY WORK

As a School Marketing Photographer, I love immersing myself into the energy, vibe and spirit of your organisation. Telling your story through eye-catching images is what gives me a buzz. Helping you attract prospective students, staff and parents with natural school images that can be used across your social media platforms as well as prospectuses and websites is so important.

I have worked with both local independent schools and large trusts and academies.

I also have experience of creating images in many schools where children have additional needs and disabilities.

What happens on the day of the school photoshoot?

To maximise time and to make sure it all runs smoothly on the day, we’ll work together to create an image list and a shooting plan in preparation.  We’ll work out a shotlist of all the elements you want to capture and how best to timetable this around existing lessons. This allows for teaching staff to be prepped with minimal disruption to their day.

I can collaborate with you ahead of the shoot to advise on what type of lessons photograph well.

I will then;

– Follow the timetable that’s created and capture a mixture of naturally posed and reportage-style images that reflect your school’s vision.

– I aim to photograph the children having fun when they are engaged in an activity and  working with the teaching staff.

– I will work quickly and quietly to keep disruption to a minimum.

TOP TIPS for planning your school photography

pre-warn older children in advance

If they have had time to make themselves look nice, they are often much more up for being involved.

select children who are in correct uniform

Uniform checks are essential before I start shooting.

showcase your best facilities

If you have an amazing sports hall, lets get some action shots in there. Or if you have a brand new kitchen to show off, lets plan a cooking lesson while I’m there.

get the teachers invloved

Having some teachers who are happy to interact with the activities and students means you’ll get a variety of images.

organise permission prior to the event

If we know which children in a class have permission for photography, they can be seated together in advance . Andminimises class disruption.

ask children to tidy their desks

It’s great if desks are clear of water bottles and bags. And mobile phones are out of sight.

allow extra time

Some lessons require more time to get going such as art, cooking and PE. It’s always better to allow more time for these subjects so I can get shots of students in the middle of an activity.

break times are good to include

Having a group of friends walking and chatting or using the outdoor playground facilites can help add breadth to your bank of images.

SCHOOL CLIENT TESTIMONIAL

Tessa is one of the best photographers I have ever worked with.

Her intuitive understanding of our organisation was something money can’t buy and as a result, she has provided us with imagery that captures the core of our endeavours as a team.

I genuinely can’t wait to work with her again.”
