How old should they be?
For newborn or baby photography in the comfort of your own home this can be done at anytime in their first year.
There are some key times which make great photography sessions:
Newborn – in the early days while they are sleepy and I can capture all their teeny tiny features.
3 months – when they are more awake and are good at a bit of tummy time
6 months – when they can sit up unaided
9 months – when they start to crawl and find their feet a little
12 months – to mark their first birthday when they may also be standing up holding on to things
What kind of images do I get
Relaxed lifestyle images of you all getting to know your new baby. It’s not about capturing the perfect pose. These shoots are all about documenting those special beautiful moments as they take place in your home environment. Dad giving them a kiss on the cheek, a special cuddle on the sofa with mum, older siblings lying on the bed tickling their toes, holding their little fingers. Just capturing the innocence and pure beauty of your newborn in your home.
How long does it take?
These sessions are normally 1 hour although I allow a little extra time for those moments when your baby needs feeding or changing or just a little reassuring cuddle.
Where does it take place?
At your home where you are surrounded by all your home comforts and everything you may need for you and your little one.
When do I need to book?
As far in advance as possible is best to ensure we capture your baby at the milestone that you would like. But this type of shoot can be done anytime in your baby’s first year. I am normally booked a month in advance but occasionally have slots that become available last minute so it’s always worth calling just in case.
