Time moves so fast, it’s crazy. Especially when you have children. I know. I have two beautiful wee monkeys of my own. 

Ever since they were born the poor things have had a camera thrust in their face at every opportunity as I desperately try to freeze time and hold onto their early months and years.

But as much as I try, time will never stand still, and it is exactly this that drives me to capture beautifully natural and contemporary images of all the families and children I work with. When I press the shutter, I can stop the clock. Just for a moment. A lovely special moment. That cheeky smile. That innocence. That natural raw emotion. It gives me such a buzz.

Sometimes I’m so intent on getting that perfect beautiful expression that I suddenly find myself half way up a tree or balancing on a bench. (Luckily I have insurance cover!)

I aim to make the session as relaxed and fun as possible so I can freeze those moments that you’d be proud to hang on your wall. All you need to do is be yourself and get ready to hang out and have some fun.

When I’m not balancing on a tree trunk with my camera in my hand, I can often be found standing in a ridiculously overheated room practising some Pilates moves, whizzing around on my bike or swinging in a hammock with a Nordic thriller in my hand. A real ‘book, book’ not any of that Kindle malarkey. Well not yet anyway! I’m still trying to freeze time in the paperback world too.​​​​​
