A privacy policy is a statement that discloses the ways Tessa Clements Photography collects and uses, your data. It provides information on what data we collect, why we collect the data, how it is used and the lawful basis on which your personal data is processed, and what your rights are under the applicable data protection and privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

Who are we?
I am a sole trader, Tessa Clements and I am the data controller responsible for your personal data. I run my business from my home, Tessa Clements Photography, Belmont Road, Beckenham, BR3 4HW.​

What do we collect?
We collect the following information from you to prepare for your photo sessions and to keep you informed about upcoming sessions:​

Personal information:
This includes your name, address, e-mail address; phone number; gender of yourself and names, gender and ages and other details about your family members and other participants in a photography session, together with any other information that you elect to provide.​

Information we collect when you visit our Site:
We will collect personal information that you provide to us when you:
• place an order through our Site;
• fill in forms on our Site, for example to leave feedback or sign up to our waiting list
• subscribe to our mailing list.
We will also collect certain information automatically when you visit our Site, in particular:
• we record details of the resources that you access to visit our Site (for example, URL addresses, traffic data etc.) however this information is anonymous
• we record information about the type of device you have used to visit our Site, your device settings, and the cause of any system errors. Your device manufacturer or operating system provider will have further details on what information your device makes available. Again, this information is anonymous to us.
You have the option to unsubscribe from our e-mails through a link at the bottom of every e-mail
we send to you.If you want to change the details that you have registered with us, or unsubscribe

How we use your personal data
We use your personal information to provide you with our services and to create and deliver the products you have requested and contact you regarding your use of the services. Such use is necessary to respond to or implement your request and for the performance of the contract between you and us.
We also use it for certain legitimate business interests, where we are asked to deal with any enquiries you make or if you ask us to delete your data or to be removed from our marketing lists we are required to fulfil your request and to keep basic data to identify you and prevent further unwanted processing.
With your consent, we may use your photographs to promote and advertise our business, including (a) in our printed publications, presentations, promotional materials (including leaflets, brochures) (b) on our website and other digital advertising of our services; and (c) in social media forums such as Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook.
We will never pass on your details to a 3rd party company.​

How do we store your data?
All your data is stored correctly and within compliance of the GDPR.
Mail chimp is the email system we use to store your Name and Email Address and requires a username and password to log in.
The Image File is the company we use for our online galleries and product sales that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Access to this requires a username and password. Your galleries are also password- protected so only you can view them.
Any images taken by Tessa Clements Photography are stored on an encrypted password protected hard drive that does not leave the premises of the business, therefore reducing the risks of it being lost, stolen or hacked in transit.​

How long do we keep your personal data for?
Your data will be held for no longer than is reasonably necessary.
Your purchased images will be archived for 3 years. These are saved on an on an encrypted password protected hard drive. Images that have not been purchased will be held for 12 months after our session unless a client has asked to return at a later date to purchase additional images.
